Comparisons

HypeCrowd compared, honestly

Comparison pages written by the vendor are usually worth what you paid for them. These try to be worth reading: every competitor fact is quoted from that company's own website with the date we read it, we say plainly where they beat us, and each page ends with who should buy them instead.

If you find something wrong on any of them, tell us and we will fix it.

What HypeCrowd is not

It has no ad library. No swipe file. No competitor ad search. It does not produce the creative, and it reads Meta only. If any of those is what you came for, one of the tools below is a better answer than we are, and the page for it says so.

What it does: connects to your own Meta ad account, reads the ads already running in it, and reports the creative patterns that win on that account, judged against the cost per purchase you set rather than against other advertisers.

The comparisons

Four pages

Creative analytics

Motion app alternative

The closest comparison of the four. Motion reads and tags creative automatically too, and its entry plan carries unlimited ad accounts. The page covers where each one wins and where the price shape flips.

Swipe file and ad library

Foreplay alternative

Foreplay is an ad library and swipe file with an analytics product attached. We have no library at all. The page explains when that makes us the wrong choice.

Ad research and generation

Atria alternative

Atria has a larger ad library than anything else here and writes ad concepts and scripts. We do neither. The page is about whose ads get read: the market's, or your own.

The category

Creative analytics tools for Meta ads, compared

A roundup of the category with HypeCrowd last, because a list whose author puts itself first is not a list.

How these are written

The rules we hold ourselves to

  • Every competitor fact is quoted, sourced and dated. If it came from their pricing page, their help centre or their homepage, the page says which and when we read it. Products change and prices change; check the source before deciding.
  • We never say a competitor cannot do something because we could not find it. The phrase is "not published", and it means what it says.
  • We never repeat one competitor's claim about another. We found three separate cases of vendors publishing wrong prices for each other, including one that contradicted itself twice on the same page.
  • The concessions come first, before any claim of our own, because a comparison page that concedes nothing is an advertisement.
